Where did you grow up?
I was born in Gadsden, Alabama, and grew up in Boaz, Alabama.
How did you become a Christian?
I learned about Christ from a very early age, and knew a lot about Him. What He did on the cross became very real to me and I realized there was more to it than just knowing about Him. When I was 8 years old, I accepted Him as my Savior. As a teenager, I felt God leading me into ministry. I have been serving in some capacity in children and youth ministry since then!
What do you do for free time?
I love to be with my family! I also enjoy cooking, decorating, crafting, planning special events, and being on the lake.
What’s your favorite movie?
It’s hard to pick a favorite – I love movies! I like “feel good movies” – you know, the ones that everyone is happy at the end. Sappy chick flicks and comedies are my favorites. Not a fan of suspense or horror movies!
What’s the craziest job you’ve ever had?
My resume consists of jobs in ministry, teaching in public education, and event planning…I could tell some crazy stories of things that have happened in all of those jobs!!
Favorite Bible verse?
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
What brought you to Connect Church?
I love children and I love ministry! After having been in the classroom for 10 years before entering full time ministry, I still love those "light bulb moments" for children when things click for them. I'm passionate about children learning about and knowing Jesus, and becoming fully devoted followers of Him. I want our Connect Kids to know and live out Matthew 27:37-38.
What’s on your playlist?
Elevation Worship, Chris McClarney, Pat Barret, Natalie Grant, Andrew Peterson, Paul Baloche, and of course - Connect Creative!
My most favorite is Raising Boys and Girls with Sissy Goff and David Thomas...great stuff for parents!
