Where did you grow up?

As an Air Force brat, I grew up all over the world.  I was born in Japan, but also lived in Greece and England.  We ended up settling in Maryland, where I lived until I moved to Guntersville in 2015.

How did you become a Christian?

I found out early in adulthood, at age 19, that trying to live life on my own terms wasn't working well.  I turned to God for help and He welcomed me with open arms.  He taught me forgiveness, grace, and mercy.  He continues to teach me every day, and every day I become freer and freer.  Thank you, Jesus, for Your love!

What do you do in your free time?

I love to spend time with family and friends.  On my own, I watch Alabama football, YouTube, and Netflix with my dog and 4 cats.  This Enneagram One loves YouTube videos about organizing.  #nerdalert

What are your favorite tv shows?

Parks and Recreation, New Girl, Buffy the Vampire Slayer

What's the craziest job you've ever had?

My background is in computer programming - definitely not a crazy career.  So, I would have to say my craziest job is homeschool teacher.  When my daughter was 6, she thought addition was beneath her and wanted to learn multiplication first.  She also preferred word problems and absolutely loved long division - I taught her how to do long division using dixie cups and table scatter.  That was crazy!  (I'm happy to say it went well, and she is in high school and is brilliant at math.)

What is your favorite Bible verse?

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart."

Psalm 91:4

What brought you to Connect Church?

When we first moved here, I made a list of churches to try based on their proximity to our new house.  We tried Connect Church first and never even had to try any others!  All three of us knew after the first week that we were home.  The people are so nice and so welcoming.  First we made friends with the people that sat near us in service, then joined small groups, and the rest is history.  These are my people.

What's on your playlist?

Guns N Roses, Metallica, Soundgarden, Bruno Mars, Katie Perry, Pink
