A gathering for moms and girls

Sunday, April 25th

Registration 1:30 - 2:00, Event 2:00 - 6:30

Guntersville Campus

Worry and Anxiety are real.  Let's Brave it together.

It's surprising to find a girl who doesn't struggle with anxiety and worry - either in short episodes or for longer periods.  For a variety of reasons, childhood anxiety rates are soaring, especially among girls.  In fact, studies show 1 in 3 teenage girls struggle with anxiety. Today's moms need to know what contributes to anxiety and worry and how we can empower our daughters to overcome fears and live more courageously!

Using Sissy Goff's "Raising Worry Free Girls", along with the companion books for girls "Braver Stronger Smarter" (Elementary aged) and "Brave" (Teens) as the basis of this event, we will tackle the important issue of anxiety and how we as moms can instill bravery and strength in our daughters.  You and your girls will learn practical ways to work through overwhelming emotions and will hopefully leave feeling empowered, knowing both of you are deeply loved by a God who is bigger than any fears.

Who is Brave For?

Brave is for girls 1st grade - college, and women of all ages!

If you are not a mom, but are an aunt, grandmother, teacher, counselor, social worker, or would just like to have a better understanding on how to battle anxiety and worry, Brave is for you!

How much does it cost?

Registration is $10 per person.  Scholarships are available!

As part of registration, participants will receive Sissy's book

based on their age:

* "Braver. Stronger. Smarter." (1st - 5th grade)

* "Brave" (6th grade - college)

* "Raising Worry Free Girls" (adults)

While the gathering will be based on the book, we will not be covering it cover to cover!  Women and girls will take the book to read following the event.  What if you've already read the book?  Great!  You will still greatly benefit from attending, connecting with other women and girls!

What will we do at Brave?

When you and your girls leave Brave, we hope for each of you to have more understanding about anxiety, feel empowered with helpful tools, and encouraged with a message of hope!  But also...Brave is going to be full of FUN, fantastic worship, engaging speakers, time to fellowship and connect with other women and girls, and a time to connect with Jesus.

As part of Brave, we want to celebrate being who God created us each to be - brave, strong, smart women who enjoy feeling and being treated like ladies.  That's exactly what will happen at our Confetti Tea -  a very special tea party we have planned for you!
