Connect Kids

We are so excited you are here! We believe children’s ministry is one of the most important ministries of our church.

We base everything we do with our Connect Kids on Matthew 22:37-38.    We want our kids to know what it means to Love God, and Love People. We are dedicated to partnering with parents to lead children to become fully devoted followers of Christ from childhood to adulthood.

The safety of your children is our top priority during Sunday and Wednesday activities, as well as special events. All outside doors remain locked during services, a trained security team is on hand, and no one can pick up your child without the matching tag received at sign-in.

Sundays

On Sundays, we have nursery classes for infants – Kindergarten. 1st – 5th Graders participate in Family Worship in our worship services at each campus. When you first arrive, please go to the Children’s Kiosk to check-in your infant-kindergartener. A volunteer will assist you in locating the classroom for each child.

NURSERY

Each week, we introduce your littlest ones to the wonder and Word of God through age-specific lessons, Bible stories, music, and activities through The Gospel Project.

We offer classes during all morning services for infants through Kindergarten. Children

attend the class based on how old they are by September 1 st of the calendar year.

  • Infants through 2 year olds are cared for by loving volunteers in a safe and clean environment. In our baby and toddler class, your child will be actively engaged through play while hearing songs and learning Bible stories.
  • 2 & 3 Year Olds have an age appropriate lesson from The Gospel Project that includes a Bible story, music and movement, and fun hands-on activities.
  • PreK and Kindergarten experience a lesson from The Gospel Project that includes fun songs, games, video elements, and engaging activities.

FAMILY WORSHIP

On Sundays, our 1st-5th graders participate in Family Worship!  If you are new to this concept, here is a quick look in to it:

How does Family Worship work?

  • Nursery and Age level classes are provided for Bed Babies - Kindergarten.  We provide excellent childcare and age-appropriate Bible learning in a fun, safe environment in our Baby, Toddler, 2&3 Year Old, and PreK & Kindergarten classes at each campus.  We encourage families with children in these age groups to take advantage of the classes offered during Worship Service times.
  • Children 1st-5th grade are in the Worship Service on Sundays instead of age specific classes.
  • Children's Worship Bags are provided each week to engage 1st-5th graders in the Worship Service.  Kids have their own Kids Sermon Notes to follow along with the message. These also provide an opportunity to continue the conversation as a family after service.  Bags include a Kids Sermon Notes, stickers, colored pencils, pencil, a sweet treat, and sometimes a special prize or quiet fidget toy. Bags can be picked up each Sunday in the Welcome Center or Foyer at your campus. (After service, please keep the Sermon Notes and stickers, and return the bag with the crayons and pencils to the basket for us to refill for the next week!)

Why do we do Family Worship?

  • Family Worship is a way for the church to partner even more with families in leading our children to know Jesus!  Research shows that school-age children who regularly attend a worship service with their parents have a greater chance of continuing their walk with Christ into adulthood. By being a part of the worship service, our children get to experience worship themselves, watch their parents and leaders worship, witness baptisms and corporate prayer, partake in communion, feel a sense of family within the church body, and hear the same message as their parents.  We provide weekly Fam Time discussion starters that go along with the message for you to continue the conversation as a family about the sermon around the lunch table or at bedtime on Sundays! You will find each week’s Fam Time on the Kids’ Sermon Notes and Adult Sermon Guides.
  • Children's Ministry is one of the most important ministries that we have at Connect.  Family Worship for our school-age children doesn't lessen that; in fact, it puts even more emphasis on our strong desire for children to become fully devoted followers of Christ from childhood to adulthood.  We want to partner with you in discipling your children outside the church walls...this is just one way that we can do that!

Wednesdays

On Wednesdays, join us for CAMP Connect Kids for infants – 5th grade!  Wednesdays are when the action happens each week in our Connect Kids ministry. We have age-level small groups, and our night is packed with fun worship, Bible learning, games, and fellowship using The Gospel Project. We follow our life group semester calendar in the fall and spring, and meet from 5:45-7:45 at all campuses (a light supper is provided at arrival).

Child Dedication

Child dedications are a joint expression of a parent’s desire to raise Godly children and our church’s commitment as a church to partner with and support you.

Child Dedications are a time for parents to commit themselves to raising their child God’s way. It’s a powerful time for parents to embrace the responsibility they’ve been given by God and to catch a vision of the impact they can make in their child’s life. Parenting in the early stages isn’t easy, but with direction and intentionality, parents can begin to build a spiritual and foundation that lasts.

We invite families with infants, toddlers, and young children to participate in the dedication event.

Child dedication services are scheduled periodically throughout the year. Our next Dedication service will be at all campuses on Sunday, May 12th, 2024 during the 10:30 service.  You must register to participate.  Click here to register.
